14 B200 billion: Morocco and China establish a giant project?

The Chinese company “Zhenhua” Heavy Industries, one of the world’s leading companies in the manufacture of port cranes and large steel structures, signed an agreement with the Office Chérifien des Phosphates (OCP) group worth 200 billion centimes.
This agreement aims to develop the freight transport system at the port of the city of Safi, reflecting the commitment of both parties to improve logistics services and enhance the economic role of the port within the framework of achieving the objectives of the 2030 strategy.
According to media sources, the project aims to support the infrastructure of Moroccan ports, with a special focus on raising the efficiency of logistics operations and strengthening the position of the port of Safi as a strategic center for freight transport.

The value of the contract is approximately 200 billion centimes, and it is expected
to complete the project delivery on site 30 months after the contract enters into force.
